The Zen of Visual Analysis

Monday, July 21st - 11:00 AM - Alki

Speaker: Chris Stolte
The inspiration for Tableau was the desire to build software that truly supports the way people reason about data visually. In this talk, you’ll learn:

+ What the ‘cycle of visual analysis’ is and how to effectively reason about data visually
+ What your software can do to support effective Q&A sessions of data
+ How to become one with your data

In this session, Tableau & our partner PlaceBase will discuss the value of using geography to help with your data displays. You’ll learn:

+ The fundamentals of geographic analysis
+ Basic principles for designing useful data maps
+ Strategies for incorporating geographic data into your analytics
